Ashanti M. Davis (she/they)

Co-Founder & Lead Weaver ( Executive Director)

Ashanti Marie Davis is an Artist, Thinker, Social Justice Advocate, and Arts and Culture Innovator who believes in the power of art and creativity to create meaningful change in the world. As a co-founder and Lead Weaver (Executive Director) for Relationships, she brings her passion for building community through creativity and food to her role. For over a decade, she led interdisciplinary Museum and Science Center teams in the development of unique STE(A)M experiences and exhibitions for the general public and has supported the missions of Arts and Culture nonprofits across the US. She is excited to bring this initiative to the forefront with the knowledge that the only way we will create change is through cultivating meaningful relationships.

The Constellation

You might refer to them as the “Board of Directors,” but we call them The Constellation. This community of Luminaries brings their unique light to making our mission possible.

  • Daniel is a community-engagement and relationship-building strategist, organizational-change practitioner, and a principal at Pueblo Collab, a consultancy that helps organizations build genuinely inclusive cultures and authentic relationships with the communities they seek to partner with. His work centers on the relational side of change: facilitating honest conversations about bias and equity, and grounding partnerships in care, effective listening, and demonstrable accountability.

    He works with groups ranging from grassroots practitioners, science research and practice to institutional leaders, and is known for a perceptive, compassionate approach that treats inclusion as an ongoing practice rather than a box to check.

  • Soniais a dedicated and principled Graphic Designer offering 26 years of continuous impact within the non-profit domain. A master steward of brand identity, Sonia combines an exceptional work ethic with an authentic, transparent approach to creative problem-solving. Over a quarter-century of institutional knowledge ensures every design choice aligns deeply with mission, audience, and long-term visual strategy.

  • Kara is a fundraising consultant and strategist who works with grassroots organizations to grow and diversify revenue through tailored strategies. She has over a decade of experience holding various fundraising roles at direct service, arts, and advocacy organizations. Her work centers advocacy, community building, and storytelling. 

    Kara left Northern Michigan at 18 to study in the UK, departing with her MA in Gender Studies, before falling in love with Seattle. She feels the most herself while floating on the water, dancing with friends, and cuddling her dog.

  • Jen is an artist, amateur astrologer, mom, and coffee enthusiast living in Seattle. She has held a variety of operations and people and culture positions at nonprofits organizations, and is an experienced media designer, photographer, photo editor, and teacher. Her artistic practice, which encompasses photography, sculpture, fiber/craft art, and sound installation, focuses on the human relationship to the universe and our (in)ability to know. She connects her work in nonprofits and her artistic life through a love of process and figuring out how things come together to answer a question or support a need. Originally from the Philadelphia area, Jen enjoys puzzles, reading, the ocean, and space.

  • Stacey was raised in a rural environment by a community of dairy farmers, shaping the way she navigates the world. Her education (B.S. in Zoology, M.S. in Biology) and experience as a scientific researcher and science communication practitioner illuminated the many barriers that communities face when interacting with science. Her experience includes planning and executing large-scale science events, managing complex cross-sector collaborations, training professional scientists in advancing more equitable communications practices, and facilitating honest conversations. She deeply understands that human-centered design is non-negotiable for connecting meaningfully with people and embeds mental and emotional health, social justice principles, and relationship building into every aspect of how I work and support the work of others. 

    Stacey is a feminist, biologist, rock climber, cat companion, bookworm, coffee addict, and baked goods enthusiast.
